“ It's fine! Five stars given the price point; I don't want to deprive the employees of their hard-earned good reviews just because it isn't a more upscale hotel. It's affordable, there's free breakfast, the employees are nice, there's a pool, it's close to Busch Gardens. That's all I want, it's perfect for my needs and budget. My only warning is that we honestly had a SUPER difficult time with our key card, they're really easy to demagnetize if you aren't careful about what pocket you put it in. The front desk is super great about fixing it but save yourself the hassle and be cautious with them. ”
“ Good hotel choice in area for the price... But, breakfast was inconsistent in offerings. Rooms need more or bigger pillows, beds are very firm (lacks support for bad back). Overall it was a clean and nice place but rooms were slightly dated. The front desk associates tried very hard to accommodate my odd requests and gave wonderful restaurant recommendations. On our last day all 4 of our (2 rooms) room keys stopped working and guy at front desk (only saw him that one day, out of 3 day stay) didn't act like he cared much when I questioned why they weren't working if we had our do not disturb tags out (housekeeping shouldn't have been in there)... but later discovered those keys might need recode after 3 days... he didn't explain that (had to research it), but made me uncomfortable at the time. I would recommend the hotel, but just forewarned visitors that it's not a 5-star place, but very good value for your money and close to the Busch gardens and historic part of Williamsburg. ”
“ EXCELLENT front desk staff, take the level of this hotel up a notch. Fairly basic rooms, but clean and functional. Good location with easy access to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. We were there with a soccer team for a tournament and they handled our needs well. The staff were especially friendly and personable and created a feeling like a B&B by showing sincere interest in each guest. It was the difference between an impersonal, adequate stay and feeling like the hotel was home base during our stay. ”
